For many Dubliners, Wicklow is their recreational space. A beautiful landscape marked by the Sugarloaf's pointed peaks, it has both coastal and mountain scenery to compare with the most striking in any part of the world. But best of all County Wicklow has superb golf.

There is a triangle of three tests here which gives the golfer all that they could wish in terms of quality golf, Powerscourt, venue for the Irish PGA Championship, and Rathsallagh, to the west of the county, opened by Peter Thompson six years ago and designed by Walker Cup Captain Peter McEvoy.

Apart from the golf experience, just travelling from one course to the other is a joy in itself. County Wicklow is located 30 minutes south of Dublin.
