Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea...." and what golfer
has seen the photograph of Royal County Down proving the words of
the song. From north to south Co. Down has golf courses in abundance.
Co. Down needs little introduction and if your budget can stand
it should be played. On abudget however the gems at Ardglass or
Kirkistown castle will delight. Around the town of Bangor you'll
find Clandeboye's two superb courses or the relatively new parkland
courses at Blackwood. Warrenpoint on the way to the border is also
worth the trip.
