Probably the most remote areas of the
country but all the better for it - Ireland’s North West is worth the travel and if
you’re a golfer it almost becomes a pilgrimage. With its wonderful Atlantic
coastline, traditional pubs with live and spontaneous entertainment you can’t get
Ireland any more raw. Being as remote the accommodation and golf is also considerably
better value than other more accessible parts of Ireland and with the strength of the
pound against the punt a short break to Donegal and Sligo can offer unbeatable value
matched with great quality. Flights into Derry and Knock from Stansted and fast ferries
into Belfast make the north west coastline an alternative short break destination. |
