Shannon, an area most normally associated with an airport
but its got an awful lot more than an arrivals and departures
hall. The area covers parts of the counties of Clare, Limerick
and Tipperary and includes some wonderful short break destinations
for both the golfer and the touring visitor. A couple of our hotels
are located in the historic town of Ennis; or alternatively try
Killaloe at the bottom of Lough Derg. If you fancy a castle then
theres few better than those at Dromoland or Adare Manor
- both with their own golf courses and five star luxury.
Lahinch with or without
the Atlantic winds is always a welcoming destination for the golfer
in search of the very best Links Golf. For the sightseeing visitor
the spectacular Cliffs of Moher are a must north of Lahinch and
if youre going that far up complete the loop and visit the
lunar landscape of The Burren via historic LIsdoonvarna. Bunratty
Folk park in the grounds of historic Bunratty Castle provides
another diversion where you can enjoy a 15th Century Medieval
Banquet.
Shannon
Airport is well situated for most of south and west Ireland and with the introduction of
Ryanairs low cost flights from Stansted the area is now an affordable option by air
from the south east of England. Ryanair Fly to Shannon.
