Muckrach
was built in 1860, the heyday of the Victorian sporting lodge.
It has been delightfully transformed into a small hotel, retaining
country house charm and infomality: welcoming fires, comfortable
sofas and spacious en suite bedrooms with vases of fresh flowers
old books and magazines.
The Hospitality is very special. Attentive staff take real
pleasure in looking after you and your holiday. The kitchen
is the heart and soul of Muckrach Lodge. Menus in the lovely
Garden Restaurant and the bistro imaginatively use the finest,
freshest local ingrdients, for which the region is acclaimed
throuthout Scotland.
High
mountains and moors, wooded valleys and lochs, national
nature reserves and forest parks are all around. The Uk's
finest golf, fishing, skiing and walking facilities are
available from the hotel. You can explore ruined castles
and evidence of Speyside's turbulent history. As one of
Europe's last great wilderness areas, rare natural history
finds its home. Ospreys famously return annually; so do
many of Muckrach's guests.
