Adjacent to its more famous neighbour and although situated in the town of Irvine it is administered from the city of Glasgow and this is where it draws most of its membership from Originally it became the winter course for the city slickers but now has developed into one of the county's top venues and allows visitors that rare luxury of being able to play at the weekend on a private course.
