Marriot
Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club is set in acres of woodland with
the Pentland Hills as a backdrop and offers marvellous views of
Edinburgh Castle and the hills of Fife to the north. The East Course
is renowned throughout the world and is a wonderful test of golf,
while the shorter West Course provides a delightful foil to its
more illustrious neighbour.
The West Course offers a different test to the more demanding
original at Marriot Dalmahoy. The principal features of this newer
addition to golf in Midlothian are small greens which require
pinpoint accuracy from the shorter irons in the bag and The Gogar
Burn. The latter meanders attractively through the fairways on
the West and over the closing holes creates numerous difficulties
for the golfer.
