The Westerwood is situated in 400 acres nestling at the foot of the Campsie Hills. Purpose built in 1991, the resort was purchased by Morton Hotels in March 2000 and since has seen major investment to both the hotel and course as part of an ongoing development programme. A new wing of Master accommodation has just opened bringing the total number of bedrooms to 100.

The 18-hole golf course is now run in partnership with The Scottish National Golf Centre, with professional Alan Tait as Club Manager. Residents benefit from reduced rates for golf and tuition is available. Corporate Golf Days are a speciality with experienced SNGC staff on hand to help with the arrangements.
