thousand golfers can't be wrong...

Testing holes, warm welcomes and good old Scottish hospitality combine to make this three (or four) round golf card unique.
Saving up to 40% on the individual green fees the courses have got together to offer a combined course pass - which can be used over any seven day period - from just £140 offering probably the best value quality golf pass anywhere in Scotland and more than two thousand golfers in the past three years prove its worth.Located on Scotland's west coast, Ayrshire is the archetypal golfing paradise. Endless stretches of links golf a wide range of accommodation, great dining out and lively nightlife for those looking for it. Under an hour from Glasgow and not much more if you're flying into Prestwick Airport by air from anyone of more than two dozen European airports. With an ever increasing increasing number of European flights and fast ferries from Ireland you can leave your home at breakfast and be on the course by lunchtime from many parts of Europe!
Ayrshire is an ideal destination for a short golf break or as part of a longer touring vacation. Glasgow Gailes
6,535 yards par 71
Glasgow Golf Club was
founded in May 1787 by 22 wealthy merchants and serving
army officers and is recognised as the 9th oldest golf
club in the world. The Gailes course in Ayrshire was
opened on the 19th of May 1892 making the Glasgow club
unique in having two courses - 30 miles apart.
In the modern era, the
course with its superb turf, fine greens and subtle
qualities, is used as a final qualifying course for
the Open Championship when it is played at nearby Royal
Troon or Turnberry. In recent years, the Scottish PGA
Matchplay Championship, the Scottish Amateur Championship
and the British Youths Championship have also been played
over Glasgow Gailes. Full Clubhouse facilities and a
friendly welcome from the staff make for a great day
at the club.

Kilmarnock Barassie
6,817 yards par 72
The links course
at Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club offers an excellent
challenge to the visiting golfer and like its near neighbours
is also on the rota as Final Qualifying Course for the
Open Championship. The course has recently been altered
with the addition of nine new holes increasing the length,
par and scratch score, the result is a superb mix of
new and old greens.
As well as hosting Open
Qualifying, Barassie has hosted numerous amateur championships
and in 2001, along with Prestwick, hosted the British
Amateur Championship. Barassie offers a great challenge
and is complemented by excellent catering and hospitality
in the clubhouse. The sort of club and course that will
have you coming back year after year.

Irvine Bogside
6,408 yards par 73
Probably one of
the least well known Open Qualifying courses but well
worth searching out. Irvine Golf Club not far from the
centre and snakes its way between the railway line and
the river. Very much a traditional links in as much
as the terrain offers the opportunity to test every
kind of shot in the golf bag.
Test your skill over
hidden holes, troublesome bunkers, lots of gorse and
heather. Undulating fairways and greens make for golf
the real way. Every hole is individual and the resident
golf professional is always on hand to give a tip or
two. In 2003 the course hosted the British Amateur Championship
and is called upon frequently by the SPGA to host a
number of events including the Sunderland of Scotland
Masters. You will be assured of a great welcome in the
clubhouse after a fascinating golf day.

Turnberry Kintyre 6,504
yards par 72
The Kintyre course
at Turnberry was opened to great acclaim in 2001, providing
the perfect complement to its more illustrious sister.
Building on the challenges laid down by the famous old
Arran course, the championship Kintyre is links golf
at as exhilarating best. Undulating greens, glorious
fairways, magnificent ocean holes, and all with stunning
views of Kintyre, Arran, and the famous Turnberry Lighthouse.
