Established
1895, Ballinrobe Golf Club is reputed to be the finest in the
West of Ireland.
The club is a fully restored 250 year old estate house. It offers
golfers a restaurant with full bar, comfortable and well appointed
changing roooms and Pro-Golf shop.
This
scenic parkland golf course will offer a challenge to any golfer
with its mature trees, man-made lakes, lush fairways and traditional
stone walls.
The course was laid out by Eddie Hackett, the well known golf
architect.
In
1992 the earthworks were developed and the work was laid out by
John Madden, Ballinrobe, under the supervision of Tony Carroll,
Golf Consultant who was also associated with Mount Juliet.
Our
greens are the envy of many clubs with their fabulous contours
and the fact that they are 80% sand based. The course has already
been discribed as the finest inland golf course in the west of
Ireland and looks like a golf course that has been in existence
for 100 years.
