Kenmare
Golf Club was opened as a nine hole golf course in 1903 and was
extended using the undoubted genius of Eddie Hackett to a championship
18 holes in 1993.
The course is a real test of golf in a unique golfing environment
and while it can be very exacting for a good golfer it is never
unfair to the weak.
The early holes stretch along the picturesque Roughty river estuary
while the undulating ground of the "new" nine holes provide panoramic
views of Kenmare Bay and the Roughty Valley. This venerable old
course cannot be omitted from a golfer's itinerary.
