With
direct flights now available from Glasgow as well as Birmingham and
Stansted, Cork is a perfect alternative to the Dublin Experience. Cork
sees itself as the true capital of Ireland and is a great short break
destination – good nightlife, restaurants and excellent hotel
accommodation. We’ve selected the four star Hayfield Manor near the
city’s university and just a short distance from the city centre and
probably one of the best four star hotels in the area. Relax in the
tranquil public rooms, enjoy a pint o the black stuff in the more
relaxed bar or just enjoy the leisure club. Cork, Ireland’s largest
county has some of the country’s most amazing fishing villages and
if you’re picking up a hire car at the airport then you must explore
some of them. You could certainly do worse than lunch or dinner in one
of Kinsale’s seafood restaurants – and while you’re out that way
golfers must make a visit to one of the world’s most publicized new
golf courses The Old Head of Kinsale perched as it is precariously on
a peninsula into the ocean.
