The
West Waterford Golf & Country Club is built on 150 acres of
rolling parkland on the banks of the Brickey River with the backdrop
of the Comeragh Mountains to the east, the Knockmealdowns to the
north and Drum Hills to the south
.
An interesting feature is that the first nine holes are laid out
on a large plateau featuring a stream which comes into play at
the 3rd and 4th holes.
The course was featured in Golf Monthly in the top 60 golfing
gems of Ireland (1997).
On course self catering now available.
