Ranked
66th in Golf World's top 100 courses in Britain and Ireland (Nov
1994), Enniscrone is one of those hidden linksland gems. It had
been described as a "spectacularly beautiful links on the bay
of Killala, a course with some amazing holes" (Peter Dobereiner,
The Observer).
The
course has hosted the Irish Amateur Championship (1993) together
with other major events which have proved the links to be a fair
but demanding test of golf.
It is an ideal venue for visitors and societies and "as it is
very keen to encourage visitors, a warm welcome is assured." (Golf
World).
