The Hotel opened in May 1995 and was formerly the offices of the
Department of Labour. Just 10 minutes walk from St Stephen's Green, it is located on the
Grand Canal at Baggot Street Bridge. Many of the bedrooms have a canal view. Decor is
modern, stylish and unpretentious. Each bedroom has TV, direct dial telephone, hair dryer
and tea/coffee making facilities. All are en suite. The Mespil offers 153 larger than
average bedrooms with simple, restful colour schemes. Each room has a private bathroom
with a gushing shower, complimentary beverage tray on arrival, colour TV, direct dial
telephones, hair dryer and computer point. There is double glazing for added silence,
curtains with blackout lining so the early morning light will not disturb the sleeper and
views across the waters of the canal or south towards the hills that surround Dublin. |
